Eternal Grace is built for South African funeral homes and handles personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
The funeral home is the responsible party for the memorial content it publishes. Eternal Grace acts as an operator, processing that information on the funeral home's instruction.
Memorial information is published with the family's agreement, obtained by the funeral home. Family contact numbers are only shown when the family chooses to make them visible.
We collect only what is needed for the memorial page and the funeral-home account. Banking details for contributions are shown only where the family has asked for them to be shown.
Access to memorial editing is restricted to the funeral home's own staff accounts. Data is encrypted in transit and access to stored records is controlled at database level.
Requests to access, correct or delete personal information can be made through the funeral home that created the memorial, or directly to us.
